Saddle Lake specializes in hunters and equitation with two full service locations. We offer lessons and training for all experience levels of horse and rider, as well as a top notch breeding program. The Kentucky location is located 12.5 miles south of downtown Cincinnati and the Florida location is located just minutes away from the World Equestrian Center in Ocala.
Saddle Lake Equestrian Center and SaddleLake Ocala are owned by Missy Jo Hollingsworth and her husband, Mark Clark. Saddle Lake was created in April of 1996 by Missy Jo, and in January of 2023 Missy Jo and Mark opened a second facility in Ocala, Florida, Saddlelake Ocala. Missy Jo is a well respected trainer and has been named “Trainer of the Year” by the Kentucky Quarter Horse Association for five years (’03-’05, ’07, ’08 & ‘11). In 2012 she was named University of Cincinnati Coach of the Year. She has been the coach for the University of Cincinnati’s Equestrian team since 2007. In 2016 she received the Professional Trainer Award from KHJA at Medal Finals. Over the years, Missy Jo has had many champion horses and students at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, International Buckskin Horse Association World Show, American Quarter Horse Youth World Show, American Quarter Horse Select World Show, and the American Quarter Horse World Show. Her hunter career has includes Division wins at KHJA Medal Finals, Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, Pony Finals, Kentucky Nationals, Upperville, Brandywine, Raleigh Indoor, Highfields, Devon, and the USEF Breeding Championship. Missy Jo, and the rest of the Saddle Lake Team, strive to make Saddle Lake an industry leader in developing horses and riders to their maximum abilities.
